Dear Daddy . . .

Dear Daddy,

Since I'm not quite old enough to tell you myself I asked Mommy to write a letter to you from me for Father's Day. Whenever I am with you, I feel very safe and secure and know that my big strong Daddy will always protect me. I love playing with you, even though you sometimes make me cry with your elephant sounds. I love how high you can push me in the swing at the park, I love it when you tickle me and throw me on the bed, and I love it when you take just me on walks and show me the beautiful world.

I know that you were worried about being a Daddy before I was born. You thought you might make a lot of mistakes and wouldn't do a good job but I want to let you know that you are the best Daddy in the whole world! I can't wait to grow up and have you show me how to ride a bike, go on Father and son campouts, and teach me how to shave. But I guess I'm glad I'm still little because there's nothing better than curling up on your lap and having you read a book to me while I suck on my thumb. Thank you so much for wanting to have me and take care of me. Thank you for the sacrifices you are making to make sure I have a good life. Thank you for loving Mommy and taking good care of her too. I love you so much!!!

Your Son,
Alex
